Default Jog Wheel moves playhead suggestion.

By default, the jog wheel does nothing. Same as on my old C24

It would be great if by default and no other function was assigned to the Jog Wheel it simply moved the playhead back and forth.

You can sort of do this with Trim enabled and it's great. You can whizz around a session. The problem is that if you then make a selection, the Jog Wheel moves the selection, i.e. in Trim mode, the Jog Wheel only moves the playhead when no region or clip is selected.

There are MANY opinions on how this should work. I was originally of the camp (going back to early D-Control days) that the jog wheel should default to moving the playhead. Some factions were concerned about accidentally bumping this while mixing so it was nixed. With that said, I personally like the fact that it is possible to move a selection with the Trim function once an in and out have been defined. For music work this is great when working with bars especially since in grid mode the wheel is constrained to grid boundaries.

I like the Trim functionality too! I'm not suggesting it be removed. Also I get that The jog wheel could be accidentally moved if set to scroll the playhead.

However, I'd love to see a preference for the jog wheel to default to scrolling the playhead until another function is assigned to it and then revert to scrolling when the other function is turned off.
