Default Eucon 2022.12 - Trim mode indicator not showing in the right place

Hi all,

Having an issue with the latest version of EuCon. The Trim mode indicators have changed the way they are displayed.

2022.12:

An orange indicator shows next to the F button on the channel strip & a T appears next to the track name.

2022.09:

A green indicator shows below that automation mode indicator next to the M button & the word TRIM appears next to the track name. This version feels like this feature behaves more like Pro Tools.

CONCLUSION:

This makes sense as this is the button that controls trim mode toggle. However, in the previous workflow the trim indicator would show below the automation mode indicator, so it was easy to see when you were in touch, latch or touch/latch and then additionally in trim. It also displayed the word "TRIM" next to the track name as an additional indication that you are in Trim mode.

It seems odd that this has changed, could it be a bug relating to the fact that channel strips are now able to customisable?

Default Re: Eucon 2022.12 - Trim mode indicator not showing in the right place

Greetings,

Green LED's indicate either a Read state or that Preview has been engaged causing parameters in a writable mode to be isolated. Trim mode modifies the behavior of an existing automation mode (such as Touch/Latch, Latch, etc.) so it makes sense to keep a Red LED next to the F switch indicating a writable mode and illuminating the amber LED on the M (Trim) switch to show that mode is being modified to trim behavior.

Long story short, Green was causing some mixers to get the wrong impression about a given channel strip.

best,

Jeff
