Default Clock Problem in MTRX | Sound cracking

Hi there.

I'm having some issues with sound cracking while monitoring.

I had this same issue in the past, with my older computer, and I found it was a clock problem. But at this time I cannot fix it.

I have a Mac Studio -> Pro Tools MTRX Studio -> Burl ADC.

I already tried to place the Burl as Leader, then MTRX as leader, Dante as leader, etc... I don't know what I am missing here, if it is some configuration on the Dante Controller or anything else.

Also I watched the Avid video on YouTube showing the Clock possibilities and I tried them all, and still cracking.

Thnks

Greetings,

Please post a screen grab of the Clock Status window from Dante Controller if you might.

(Also please send a grab of the DADman > Conf (clocking) sections as well.) Thanks.

best,

Jeff

Btw. The cables are set to:

Burl - WC IN
MTRX - WC OUT

On Burl, it is switched to "EXT" as well.

If you are actively sending Dante between the two boxes you should use IP Audio as the clock (sync source). Whether you clock MTRX (sync = IP Audio) or Burl is up to you.

Start by keeping the MTRX clocked to Internal and as the leader and set the Burl to lock to IP / PTP.

Jeff, sorry the dumb question.

But how do I lock to IP / PTP? I Tried to figure it out but I couldn't found anything on the matter.

If you have a Burl with the BMB3 module, you should have a Dante setting for clock.

If you have the Burl Bomber ADC, there is a Dante setting for clock choices.
If you have the Burl Bomber DAC (which is more likely what you meant?), then you select input source to Dante and then clock source to digital in.

No, I'm using the the Dante AVIO AES3 to connect via Dante thru the Burl.

And the weirdest thing is that now that I'm working in a Atmos project, and I am not even using the Burl. So just monitoring and passing thru the MTRX, and this cracking sound is so annoying.

So is it only the AES to IP adapter source that shows artifacts when monitoring?
Can you monitor other analog or digital source inputs without issues?
Are you summing or switching your source inputs?
Is your firmware up to date for the MTRX Studio?
