15-20 MINUTES?!?
The fact that you know this shows that you are a much more patient individual than me. 1 minute in I'd be reaching for the Force Quit!

Yeah I just heard back from PA and they seem to have no clue on to what's happening. So please anyone with PA Plug-ins and Avid Carbon's file a ticket with PA!

I'd say also file a ticket with Avid?

I don't have a multi-minute situation, but putting a track in and out of Record on my system (Mac Studio Ultra, Carbon, PA plugins) can take 30-60 seconds if I have a bunch of plugins being converted to DSP (including PA stuff on at least the master).

Anyone experiencing these Carbon specific DSP mode issues with 3rd party plug-ins please send me an email and I will make sure this gets escalated. Thanks.

Looks like the Carbon + Plugin Alliance DSP issue is mentioned in the fix notes for today's 2023.9 release.

I now see Air Instruments Bundle 23.8.0. I don't remember seeing that before. Looks like Structure still is NOT Silicon ready.

Yup looks like a massive improvement. PA Plug-ins now take about 2 min to switch between DSP and Native (across 12 tracks) instead of 20 min.
Empirical Labs Arouser for comparison used to take about 20 sec to switch, now switches in about 2 sec!!

That still seems way too long to me. Is that what everyone is seeing or is this an isolated case?

I think it shows that it was both an Avid problem as well as a PA problem. Plug-ins that used to switch within 10-20 sec now switch in 2-3 sec.
