Lock knob module to sends with touch display?

Hi friends,

Wondering if its possible to lock the knob module to a set of sends on specific tracks via the touch module?

I decided to sell 2 brand new knob modules in the buy/sell forum section since I don't need knob modules on every track for my purposes, and just wondering if I should keep one if it can be controlled via touch module without a process module?

I'm not exactly sure what your use case is but there are a few different things you can do with a Knob Module.

A Knob Module can be declared as on Attention Knob Module - and targeted, preferenced to display a specific function type on attention - such as Sends, EQ or Inserts. In this mode the Knob Module could be showing all of the Sends instantiated on one Attentioned track. The default state of the Knob Module would be to show the first 4 Sends for the tracks that are in that Bank / Bucket on the desk. This could be an arbitrary bank or this could be a specific Spill Zone with very specific tracks whose Sends are visible always in that view exactly the way you want until you put that view away.

You could designate that Knob Module as an Attention Knob and set the on attention default behavior to target sends. That would then display all sends for the focused track without requiring a Process Module.

Would that make the entire module focus on the attention track, or could each vertical row display the 4 sends for 8 tracks?

Yes, precisely the definition of an Attention Knob Module. The Process Module provides the Knob Module with the means to display individual sends per channel strip.

So then I suppose the process module is absolutely required for making the knob module display 8 rows of sends?

I would not even consider putting together a system without a process module, i can only say you’ll regret it hugely!

But like Jeff said, the default view is 4 sends per channel - 8 rows of sends, like you want. You probably noticed this in a new session.

So by luck it would be what you desire..
