Default Plug-ins let down by ProControl

After another really heavy mixing session i'm now more than ever convinced that the DSP section on the ProControl is (and excuse me if someone finds this insulting) piss poor.

Really digi, only 8 pots for Plugin tweaking?.

Some plug in's require up to 6 pages of the DSP section and it's a total pain in the ass constantly paging thru to tweak.

Howabout the "Big Fat DSP section" that i suggested a while back? with 48 or so POTS, Displays etc so we can hit the EQ button on the strip and go directly to it on the pack with EVERYTHING displayed at once!.

Hell i'll even design the thing if you're interested. (well i'll knock up a pretty picture that is)

Digi i would be thinking hard about a new ProControl for the future, i don't care if it costs a little more but i'd be taking the design philosphy from the Sony Oxford. It's awesome...it has a dedicated Eq section and a dedicated dynamics section. 2 of each i might add for 2 users.

Food for thought

An actual fix might be to include a way to let the user assign which plugin controls will show up on the first 8 faders. Seems pretty simple to implement

Kind of on topic...
Waves just announced a free upgrade the v3 which has HUI and ProControl mapping.

Hurray!

Hum.. let's see...

The Oxford cost over $800,000.00

The Pro Control about $10,000.00

OK, I guess we could compare them.

The real disappointment to me is that in an expanded PC Setup, you can't use more than 8 faders for Plug-in parameters. Control 24 is way better in this department. Digi, can this be addressed? Why not a plug-in parameter for each fader? You'd sell more Fader Pacs!
