Default My last 2 weeks of updates..Thank you PT

Hi friends it`s been a great run ,these are the last 2 weeks of upgrades for me won`t be spending the 235 euros p/a for a few updates a year anymore.

Now it`s just a hobby for me ,that`s why.
When I was working with it that was not a lot of money.
Thank you Pro Tools 2020.3 will by my last version and it rocks so far.
Peace.

Understood. Could be my last the way things are. I've had pretty much every version for nearly twenty years including both LE and TDM when they existed.

The £200 annual upgrade fee makes absolutely NO sense, 25% discount or not, especially considering the slow development pace. I'll be spending my money elsewhere as indeed I have been. I've bought the Reason 11 Suite after a long hiatus (since Reason 2.5) for less than £150! Scores of new instruments, effects and samples. I also cross graded to IK Multimedia Total Studio 2 MAX for little over £120. Same deal, scores of amps, samples and sounds.

I love Pro Tools but have grown to hate it too. Logic doesn't see to have half the issues and comes fully loaded by comparison. £200 on Logic lasts for years of updates and it is more 'Pro Tools' like than every these days.

Avid better reconsider the £200 annual tax or I'm done. It's a buyer's market and not a time for crazy price hikes. £100 per annum was bad enough.

Stephen

Unless you absolutely need it for your work or you really like PT’s workflow and hate how the other DAWs work, there’s no rational reason to stay with AVID.

And don’t forget that June 30th is approaching fast which means their annual announcement for them to get more money and us less value...

I didn`t say I`m not staying with Avid.....I`m staying on 2020.3 , till the operating system permits.I might even freeze one PC for it.

Peace
