Default pro tools hardware is not installed (win7 x64 PT 9.01 mbox 2)??

Hello good people. I have a problem and its driving me insane.
I just purchased Pro tools 9.01 and i am getting the dreaded "pro tools hardware is not installed or is currently in use message".
I have an mbox 2, on windows 7 64 bit and also have the latest mbox2 drivers for pro tools 9.01 installed. Sounds work through the unit in windows.
All of the light's on the unit light up, and the mbox2 audio, midi and firmware updater drivers are all listed as working in control panel. I think i may have installed protools 9 before the drivers the first time i installed, and i have tried uninstalling everything then reinstalling the drivers then pro tools 9, holding n during the splash screen and also trashing my preferences. Nothing has helped.
I have tried a different Usb cable and nothing. The unit works perfectly with PT7 and PT8 but refuse to work with PT9. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I just want to make music :-(.
PEACE.

I figured it out. I think the asio driver for my auzentech soundcard was somehow conflicting. I fixed it by installing ASIO4ALL and it worked straight away.. Weird.
Anyhow anyone interested in some of my tunes check these out.

Great that you've got it working, but you still shouldn't need to "resort" to ASIO4ALL.
The Mbox2 drivers would be superior.
