Default Dead DSP (?)

"Dead" DSP, and other phantom messages.

-Disk is to slow (when playing an EMPTY session... !!!)
Then -DAE -9060. (I've read all the useful tips in this forum alredy,
and changed all the nesessary things.)

The configuration:

MIX Plus system (MIX Core, Mix Farm, DSP farm -Rev.QE-)
882/20, and 882 I/O.

I worked with this system 2 years (!), in an G4 MDD 1.25 GHz simple.

Then changing the computer (1 step down) to the G4 Digital Audio,
because it has the Sonnet Dual CPU upgrade possibility. (3 steps higher.)
The TDM Cards, and HD-s (containig all the softwares, including OS 9.22)
I've placed from MDD, to the earlier/newer Digital Audio.

Now the machine is:
G4 Digital Audio, 1.8 DP Sonnet, 1 GB RAM,
Seagate 120 GB, Maxtor 300 GB 16MB Cache
(-naturalmente: formatted and partitioned as Firewire disk, with a MacMini)

-LG 4167B Multisuper Drive-

Atto SCSI card from G3 apple, for the SCSI 2 HD ONLY,
witch is containing some authorizations key-s .

(The cards are in the right order.)
OS 9.22 Classic, ProTools 5.11. (Nothing more!!)

With the DigAu. sometimes DAE -6042 message, (PCI bus is to slow).
I'ts o.k. .
Then we changing the DAE 5.11 to the DAE 5.11 CS1.
(It would bee useful for the external Firewire HD usage too.)

When using this version of DAE, I've got the -9060 message,
and stop playing, and DEAD DSP !!! (ProTools: DSP allocation window)

Digitest all O.K.! But sometimes instead of quitting from Digitest, freeze+restart.)
Then Digisetup to the trash, and restart again.

The whoole joke is starting during playback,
when we ask the Gain plug-in to compute the peak one of the audio portions.

Changing back to the DAE 5.11 standard all O.K. (??)

(I'm a Protools TDM veteran)

(Sorry my english!)

Best Regards

Theorba
