Default DIGI HELP!!! Scribble strips dim and flicker.

ALL the scribble strips dim and flicker intermittently.
Looks like a brown out in the scribble strip section.

Any suggestions as to the cause?
Is there a feed on the power supply dedicated solely to the scribble strips?

I'm interested too. I dont have the flicker, but 4 of my scribble strips are much dimmer than the others. I haven't opened up the board to see if it's simply a lightbulb issue or something more serious.

I was told by tech support to check and clean the TB4 connector from the power supply. It is the only 3 pin connector.

I will get to it later this week.
I will post the results.

This is the response from DIGI when ALL the scribble strips dim. Not just a single bank of eight.

It's Fixed.

The 3 pronged cable off the power supply labeled TB4 was very, very, very loose.

Opened it up, tightened it up, all is good.

Thanks Digi Tech support

Had the same problem, but now it's FIXED! As mentioned in this post, the 3 pin TB4 connector on the power supply is the culprit. I just re-seated it and that did it. Seems the connector has a lot of play in it and fits pretty loosely on the pins, for whatever reason.

Any idea how to fix it when it's only 3 or 4 dim scribble strips?

Nic

Problem is, I purchased my C24 used and I am not eligible for tech support. So, my options are limited to wisdom from this forum. I'm going to open the unit up and take a look. I just like to know what to look for before I do!

Hey Nic, I didn't have the same problem you do, so I'm not sure if the TB4 connector is the answer but you might want to give it a try. Be careful about opening up the power supply rear panel. When I did it, I accidentally pulled off 1 of the connectors and had to figure out where it was supposed to be connected. The TB4 connector is pretty obvious -- it's the only 3 prong connector on the supply. Mine looked like it was firmly seated, but when I took it off and reseated it, it seemed to have a lot of "play" in the connection. Anyway, after I reconnected it I put the power supply back partially in place, powered up and all the strips worked! Hope this helps and good luck with yours -- hope you get it fixed.
