There's no more latency than there is using the plugs without the APA.
I tend to use it only for verbs in auxes, so I don't have to deal with latency issues.

I was thinking of getting one for the same purpose. the Reverbs really drain the CPU.

I wonder how it will run with the UAD card installed too.

Well, if you already have Waves plugs the unit certainly makes sense, and getting the IR-L and QClone with it make it seem pretty affordable from my view.

I agree with EJ on this with one addition, you'd need to be a waves diamond bundle user to get the most benefit, check what plugs are available for the APA and whether you use them often enough to warrant the purchase. For me the Q-clone is really worth having, its even better that it isn't sucking cycles out of my CPU. I haven't had any latency issues during a mix and haven't attempted to use the unit during tracking.

I read that automation isn't supported in vst netshell. total bummer can you use automation in the rtas versions?

Hi guys, Im impressed by the q-clone, its perfect for preserving 'out of the box' mixes.
Id love them to make a 'comp-clone' one which emulates any outboard compressor
cheers

I use a Control/24 with 002. Since this is ethernet based would the APA and Control/24 create any probs?

I've only done it using the Renaissance Rev and it works fine, same paramaters as the standard plugin are available.

Could you add another ethernet card to your tower? I assure you that you don't want this box too close by as the fan noise is very loud, or perhaps consider the APA44. They use TFTP UDP packets for APA communication, at least that's what it looks like. I've not had any issues with this using an ethernet switch. It also connects at 100BaseT so you don't have to go gigabit if you are only using one unit.
