He vanished from Skype earlier today. I emailed him about 30 minutes ago. I'm certain he'll reply providing he's still got power. We'll send him what he needs once we can make contact.

We'll keep our fingers crossed. The latest news report(11:30PM EST) reports some damage and lots of power outages, but few injuries and no fatalities so far. Prayers for all the folks in that beautiful place

My family and friends are fine and well. We had power and water re-connected roughly three hours ago, it's now eleven hours after the first wave and as I type we are still feeling significant after quakes. Ummm... I don't know what to say, you're all probably seeing this around the world and know more than I do as our suburb plays catch up. Obviously communications are up and running so the state of affairs are not that bad. Our house is sound, as many, but there are those without homes tonight and as I can gather, maybe, long term.

My partner and I sleep up stairs and our six year old sleeps down stairs, all night the cat was up and down, up and down and being really vocal, so Tam and I were half awake when the first earth quake came through, I had never seen her jump up and down those stairs so fast, she didn't even make it to the lads room the quake was that violent, I mean New Zealand is known for it's earth quakes and I've been in a few but nothing like that.

Ummm... I'd like to take this moment too, to say thank you for all the emails, phone calls, txt's and so on, locally and internationally, you soon learn who your friends are. Thank you.

My lovely city is in a state of emergency. Bye for now.
