You're running 32-bit Windows, aren't you?

Sandra shows 6 x 1 GB memory modules, but it only reports 3.36 GB, ergo, 32-bit O/S and additional memory is not going to help you on the O/S level.

You didn't tell us what version of Pro Tools you're running, but it can be no greater than PT 10 as PT 11 requires a 64-bit version of Windows.

And, the obvious question...why do you think you need more memory in the first place?

Just rockin'...what more is there?

Expounding on what Bill said, with 32 bit Windows, you may see zero change with any RAM upgrade(so maybe save your money). I would start at the motherboard website and check for the latest BIOS and the fasted recommended RAM. While there, look at the RAM spec and pay attention to whether the mobo can run in DUAL, TRIPLE or QUAD-channel mode. For instance, if the mobo is spec'd for dual-channel RAM, I would get an 8GB kit(2x4GB sticks) or a 16GB kit(4x4GB) and install Win7 64 bit. Just one opinion

I am running PT 10.3.0
I had to downgrade to 32Bit due to most plugins at that time were not available.
The 6 1G sticks were from from previous PT rig.
I figured RAM is cheap and why not upgrade.

What plugins were not available? I've been running on Win7 64 bit since LE8.0.5 was fresh and never had any issues with any plugins Maybe someone gave you bad advice? all versions of PT before 11 were(are) 32 bit programs, but they run fine on Win7 64 bit

I do not recall the reason for the 32bit downgrade. Let's chalk it up to bad advice. Will putting in 6-2g sticks in replacement of 6-1g sticks help me overall?

Your system as it stands now can't use all the RAM you currently have. You'll need a 64-bit OS to access it all.
