I may have overlooked it, but have you tried deleting your browsers cache, restarting and launching Pro Tools?

We've seen some cases where a corrupted cache will cause Pro Tools to not launch. This is most likely because the PACE/iLok drivers need to 'hook' into the browser via the cache to be able to access certain online features of plug-in activation/authorization.

Thanks Digi, Ill try that tonight. So does that mean Id also have to hook up my studio machine to the internet to allow those online features to run. And, do you think its possible for the cache to be corrupted even after a clean reinstall?

thanks again!

This may be redundant with SP3 but have you run the dual core hot fix?

Yes, you need the AMD dual core optimizer installed and running.

Also, are you using XP Pro SP2 or XP Pro SP3?
