Given Avid's revenue reports I'd say there has only been about two or three $billion spent on Pro Tools in all of history.

I should have qualified my analysis to not including post. Post has a completely different economy. Nothing in this thread is about post or affects post in the slightest.

But happy to give you another chance to vent in my direction.
