When is Avid going to update the Win7 compatibility announment ?

Hi All and especially someone from Digidesign.

On 30/6/09 a link appeared on the home page of Digidesign saying
'Pro Tools Compatibility with Upcoming Microsoft Windows 7 '

The announcement says "Avid is working closely with Microsoft to deliver compatible, high-quality versions of Pro Tools®, including compatibility with the 64-bit version, as soon as possible. Please check back periodically for updates on Avid's Windows 7 support status."

Since then there has been nothing by way of updates.
My question is are Digi going to up date this page and when as the release of Win 7 is due in 27 days.
I know there has been a lot of posts in various threads on DUC by users but nothing official from Digi.
It would be nice to get an update as to how things are going 'officially'
Or have I missed the updates?

My guess would be this is in relation to the Beta project that they are testing, but I agree that this would best be addressed by an official for a confirmation.

I think W7 needs to be released before they can even fire anything off to their beta team. The only news we have is the announcement looking for W7 and PT beta testers.

I see a prerelease of 8.0.3 for Snow Leopard so I would assume things are rolling in motion for them. My guess is that 8.0.3 will support Snow Leopard and hopefully W7.

Lets hope so although I still think it would be nice for Digi to update the page even if its to say that there is a beta testing team soon to be working on Win 7 compatibility or something.
I have had PT running under Win 7 RC1 but have never managed to get my Command|8 working under Win 7 and gave up and reverted to XP Pro so hopefully when the final release of 7 comes out there might be more chance of compatibility.
