Default Plugin soup

Well the thing is I have a fair collection of plugins on my protools system and the worst part of it is that EVERYTHING is EVERYWHERE it is making me crasy, isn't there any way to manage your plugins abit. Any way that you can make and sort the catagories yourself instead of that stupid protools-knows-where-it's-supposed-to-go rule. This is actually the reason I can't handle to have many plugins installed at the same time.

P.S. Also wondering how/if I can remove plugins from protools?

Nope.

Run the plugin's uninstaller from the windows control panel Add/Remove programs window.

Some plugins also have their own uninstallers on the start menu.

Check out Lok and Load - it's a Plugins Manager that runs on Windows. It will help you sort your plugins without having to uninstall them and you can just load up the ones you want to use. Here's the link:

"waves crap" - I'll take that "crap" off your hands if you don't want it. I'm looking at Waves Diamond - (Native) and it retails at $3800.00.

Now that is a cool idea!

I may have to look at this later. Seeing that when I track I use a trueverb, and a 1176 and that is about all she wrote. Mixdown is a whole new game. WAY COOL idea.

How long does the trial last?

Does my MONEY go to future upgrades, advances, etc....

Lok and Load will easily do this for you - just create a Lok and Load shortcut, call it "ProTools Track" or whatever, and uncheck all plugins except for those two - it will launch with only TrueVerb and 1176 loaded.

Lok and Load trial is 15 days - I know that it's not very long but you'll know after 1 day. Your money will cover at least revisions and enhancements for the current version of Lok and Load. There's been no decision regarding future versions yet - what else does it need to do? A suitable "user quote" to post on the Lok and Load website might do the trick...

Ian.

Does this also work with wrapped VSTs or only RTAS plugs?
