Pro Tools 10 doesn't see my Digi 002 Rack
Okay so I got a NFR full version of PT10 from my new job and installed it on my computer yesterday. I installed the new 002R drivers, did a clean uninstall from 8 and did a fresh install with 10. All plugs are compatible, system is optimized as usual. I have been running 8 flawlessly forever and have had minimal to none issues thus far.
Now there's PT10. Yesterday I opened up a previous session from 8 and everything loaded perfect. The 002R was "seen" by PT, I could hit playback and play around with Clip Gain, ADC, and have some fun. It was cool. Today I go to load up the same session and play around some more to get used to 10 and it no longer "sees" my 002R and throws up errors about my I/O. I have been doing the ritual of trashing prefs, yadda, yadda, yadda, re-installed the new 002R drivers, rebooted etc.... still nothing. It wants to start up with my Built-In Input as my playback, and also when I go into my Audio/MIDI Utilities in the Applications folder, my 002R is not even there. I'm calling Horse Pucky here Avid... You ALMOST had my money for PT10. I had it all saved up and ready to spend through my job, but they came through with a free copy.

Re: Pro Tools 10 doesn't see my Digi 002 Rack
I went through the ENTIRE troubleshooting stages.. I kinda know what I am doing. I have been using ProTools for 5-6 years now. I do indeed read ALL of the fine print. I have installed the latest PACE drivers, 002R drivers and.... As a matter of fact, I just ran Disk Warrior 4.2 to rebuild my directory. My Mac Pro can handle all of the ProTools 10 glory, it's been running versions 7 and 8 perfectly fine.
Still to no avail. I get the "ProTools could not initialize the current playback device. Please make sure the device has been configured correctly." So after all is said and done. ProTools 10 IS a waste of time and money. I'm going back to 8 until Avid get's their head out of their (_*_).

Re: Pro Tools 10 doesn't see my Digi 002 Rack
Well I haven't had a single problem on my Macbook, yet.
Have you tried reinstalling Pro Tools itself? Are you sure your plugins aren't to blame? Have you tried removing 3rd party plugs from the folder? Have you checked to see that the 002 isn't the problem? An 8 to 9 year old serviced interface, from what I can tell in your profile. Checked the FW cable? Tried just running off the onboard card? Plugged the 002 into a different computer with a different version of Pro Tools? I've been running PT10 since the day it was released with my LS56 on 10.6.8 and have never had an issue with playback devices.

Re: Pro Tools 10 doesn't see my Digi 002 Rack
Sounds like an 002 power harness issue

Re: Pro Tools 10 doesn't see my Digi 002 Rack
Does the Digi 002 show up in the Playback Engine dialog? If not (and it doesn't show up in Audio MIDI Setup) then it's more likely a Driver or Hardware issue... not Pro Tools 10 specific.

This is looking like I might have to buy a new interface. Yeah that's not going to happen.

Re: Pro Tools 10 doesn't see my Digi 002 Rack
Do a CLEAN uninstall of PT8, reinstall PT10, restart, reinstall the latest 002 drivers, restart... the 002 should work (mine works fine on 10.7.2)
