Default Relearning My ABCs

Hi Guys,

I feel like a beginner again after being away for 6 years .
Did the update thing, have ASIO working , Pro Tools 12.3.2 in and running
I had a few hours today to configure everything.

So far so good. But...I just simply can not figure out why command focus isn't working !
Opened my very first test session set the little yellow "a-z" in the edit window.
Dead. All commands execute fine otherwise from the menu pull downs.
Would this be a possible bug ? Or..is there any new pref or other setting ?

The keyboard is a standard Windows one, works great for two years.

If I don't figure it out, hopefully with your help, my other option would be to install 11.3.1.
Recommended ?

Ooppsss, that would be 12.3.1 of course.
Only a simple test session though as I am just getting into this today.

Any idea why I'm not able to engage command focus on the keyboard ?

Thanx Christopher

Ctrl+Alt+1 will enable the Keyboard Focus(Commands) for the Edit window.
  • Ctrl+Alt+2 - Clip List
  • Ctrl+Alt+3 - Group List
Time for some Tea Room chatter.

*And it's working fine in 12.3 on my end.

DOH...

Man..its all new to me again.
I was freakishly tapping of the clip list one.

You da man Shane !
I'll likely be back here with stupid questions like this one..

Tea Room ? hmmm. I don't think the other one ( B & G ) would fly in the current climate.

Will see, kinda flooded with work recently
Be good !

Hey Shane..

It's still early on the west coast, go grab a coffee .

I need to catch up fast with my relearning the software.
So if you are up to it..here is question #1 (promise I'll disappear after #10 ) :

* how can I do a batch mix in non real time of say..4 stereo stems and the submix of that as a stereo master out at once.
I did say stereo, because I don't have HD.
My regular 5.1 jobs are handled great in Nuendo.

thanx mate !

My favorite Batch processing is found in REAPER. I'm not familiar with the Batch workflow in Nuendo. Pro Tools has nothing like that. You'll have to get creative with routing and using multiple Master tracks in the same session.
