Just put together my new PTLE computer. Here are the specs:

Antec Sonata Quiet Case
AMD XP3000+ 333Mhz
Zalman CNPS7000-AlCu Heatsink/Fan
Asus A7V600
Corsair XMS PC2700 333Mhz 1.5GB
ATI Radeon 9000 128MB Dual Monitor Video Card
Maxtor 7200Rpm 8Mb Cahce 60G System Drive
Maxtor 7200Rpm 8Mb Cahce 120G Audio Drive
Win XP Pro W/All updates
Digi 002
PTLE 6.1

Unfortunately, I am nowhere near my Digi 002. I'll get some DaveC test results in as soon as I can. So far, this thing is smmmmokin! Some may say this is overkill. But hey - I had a summer job at Fry's just for the discount. I couldn't resist.

Hi Yours is the first DaveC test with A7V600 ,DO YOU THINK IS A GOOD PERFORMANCE REALLY,I am about to buy this mobo,it looks like a good choice when you can't get A7V333-X I wait for your answer. One more thing do you use the same Crucial PC3200 512M Ram in all tests?? My setup will be
Settings #3 XP2500 333Mhz bus ( I'll use this processor)

Same CPU in all the test.
Same Computer in all test, I just changed the CPU settings in the BIOS. This Motherboard lets you tell it what rate to run it at. The cpu is a XP2500 333Mhz. But it runs at XP3200 400Mhz. You can overclock it with changing the Volt settings but I havent done that yet.

Lets get some more Davec results on that A7V600. Very disappointing. So far the A7V333-X smokes it. Looking forward to your results MadeByNick on the 002.

Recordingguy, you should be able to do much better than that on the Davec test. Start by disabling the RAID. Digi doesnt support it. And do the standard config reccomendations in your 002 guide.

Hey Allen,

Thanks for your response to my query the other day. This is thread has been an invaluable resource in setting up a decent system - thanks for all the work you put into it. Also the links at the start have been very helpful in optimizing my system.
I just finished my 4th session today and haven't encountered even the slightest glitch even when making my computer do things I previously thought impossible.. I'm stoked with my new setup although I still wish I could have got my hands on one of the A7V333X's!
