Default Tape delay plugin for LE?

Hi does anyone know of a plugin that will replicate the sound of a tape delay like an Echoplex?

Regards,
Colin

Hey Colin,

I used to have an Echoplex and I do miss the sound of that ragged ol' hunk of metal. I would love to find a plug that sounds even close to that machine. I am about to search through KVR to see what I can come up with. Offhand I would think maybe a decent digital delay plug run through something like Izotope's Trash plug could be effective.......

check out: http://www.madtracker.org/plugins.ph...category=Delay
and: http://www.em411.com/forum/21736/1/f...lay_echo_.html

I love dubby delays so this guy's are among my favorite: http://www.interruptor.ch/vst_overview.shtml

I own more outboard delay than the law allows - totally obsessed.

I use the Digi Delay on an Aux track with the LPF set between 9k to 3k, followed by McDSP Analog Channel AC2 after the delay to warm it up and to emulate tape delays then sometimes into Digis' Lo Fi plugin. After that I bus the Aux track to itself instead of using the feedback in the Delay plugin. This will make each delay 'degrade' a bit. It works and is DSP efficiant.

Also check out the Lexicon PSP 42 Delay.
