\"Secure Delivery Plug-in\" what is that?
I keep getting a message a couple of minutes after start-up saying "Secure Delivery Plug-in has encountered a problem and has to close" Everything seems ok afterwards.
Anyone know what that's about? |

Sounds like you've install the Kontiki download utility
Link If you've downloaded from c/net you probably installed it. Rail

Re: \"Secure Delivery Plug-in\" what is that?
I concur. That is impressive.

Anyone who's read my posts on security will know careful I am (though I can get a bit arrogant and think that if there is anything nasty out there i can get rid of it) Secure Delivery Plug-In sounds rather useful, and Kontiki are straight up about the whole thing. However I think my firewall is blocking it, which makes it useless (though I could tweak), so I've uninstalled it. And what is it doing trying to function while I'm only on Yahoo and DUC? That's spyware behaviour. Bad data! Bad data! Out! Out! Out! Thanks Rail. |

Re: \"Secure Delivery Plug-in\" what is that?
I don't believe this!
I just did did a search on google for "template" & "keyboard stickers" and clicked on a couple of links. Had a quick look. Clicked on nothing. Left Google. I now find this thing called "Search feed" parked on the bottom right of my screen with a link to "korean language keyboard". This thing has sailed through my firewall! Huh? And why do they do this? Do they think people are pleased to see these things installing themselves? And why isn't this illegal? Quote:

Re: \"Secure Delivery Plug-in\" what is that?
Karel,
That would really piss me off too. I would try something like Ad-Aware to see if it will rid your system of that crapola. Also, look at some of these programs to see if anything fits your needs better. Last week I had something hijack my browser on my non-PT machine and I, like you, am usually pretty anal about my computer's security. I have no idea how that happened, but the Ad-Aware program rooted out the offending bit o'spyware and all is good again. I hope this helps.
