Let's take a quick look at one more topic discussing the XML map files which are created on the Master Module when creating maps for Sends, Pan, and various Plug-Ins (on Knobs, Faders...)
As always, ensure that your Workstation under
Settings >
Workstations has a blue star associated next to if for the appropriate application, such as
Pro Tools 21Mac.
Under
Settings >
System >
Auto-Load from Titles And Sessions > enable
Auto-Load Custom Knob and Fader Maps from Sessions to restore the maps when the Pro Tools session loads.
To purge out the contents of the Master Module map directory and favor only the map files being brought in from the Pro Tools session file, enable
Clear Custom Knob Maps When Session Data Clears.
This should be disabled on systems when you are providing common copied XML files for a given plug-in or function to be used on other system. Users creating new or template based sessions following this will automatically inherit all of the maps in the directory with saved sessions.
