VCA MASTERS - Back to Basics]
Let's go back to the basics for a few refresher tips, and reorient with some essential functions including VCA Masters on the S4 and S6.
The
Type button located on the physical switches of the Master Module - above the
Bank and
Nudge switches, can be used without first choosing a Spill Zone location, to display a chosen type of tracks on all of your available faders. This can be handy to quickly see all of the VCA Masters contained within your session. If a chosen VCA is operated on -> by spilling manually or from Auto-Spill into a designated Spill Zone (L or R), that zone will activate and display the group members of the chosen VCA.
With
Auto-Spill enabled, use the
Attention (triangle) switch from the strip to dive down into nested groups and the associated
Menu switch to traverse back up the tree. To quickly return from a few layers down to the topmost level, simply hold
Menu for a few seconds.
If it makes sense for your workflow to populate the attention zones (EQ, Dyn, Attention fader, etc) on Solo, you can enable that option under
Settings >
User >
Attention Track of Most Recently Selected Solo.
