Default Softkey shift modifier possible bug?

As I posted in another thread, I've done my own Appset of softkeys.

I'm having a ball with it but I've run into a problem.

I've used quite a few softkey modifiers using the shift key on the Fader Modules to bring up a second function on a softkey. Some of these, for example Clear in the Clip List or Duplicate Track bring up a dialog box in Pro Tools as you'd expect.

However, when a dialog box opens it appears the shift key jams in on or pressed status. So.... when I next hit play I'm effectively hitting shift+play and getting half speed playback. I then need to hit the shift button again to get normal speed playback. It only seems to be the case when I hit a softkey that brings up a dialog box in PT. The shift key modifier works fine otherwise.

I've fiddled with the active/inactive status of the softkey but it hasn't made any difference. It's happening with softkeys with EUCON commands or Key commands assigned to them.

Bug or user error? I can't for the life of me see what I've done wrong?

I was able to reproduce the behavior you were describing only on a SHIFTed function. We will investigate the issue further.

Thanks Jeff

Yes it's only on SHIFTed functions here too. SHIFT is getting stuck and causing half speed playback. I guess I could change the modifier key to something else like CONTROL but it means rebooting my muscle memory and the SHIFT key is the most easily accessible.

That said, it's only a minor nuisance. If you hit SHIFT again before playback it gets "unblocked".
