Default Re: Avid Stickers For S6 Locate Switches

Greetings,

From the S6 2.2 ReadMe:

Switch Labels for Reassigned Default Soft Keys
If you own an S6 Automation Module with the original text on switches in the Locate section (Trim +, Trim -, Store Current, Store Locate, Edit, Recall, Delete, Clear) and you would like a set of 8 stickers with the current text (Mix/Edit, Faders Off, Trim Sel, Consol Clip, Edit Loc, Undo, Redo, Save) then please visit http://www.avid.com/S6stickers and fill out the brief form with your contact and shipping information.

best,

Jeff

Thanks Jeff… yes that must've been where I came across it but it was late, so anyway, how do I find out if the stickers are on their way?

If you filled out the linked form it should have concluded with the following:

The submission form has only been active for a short time so I would hold tight if you've already submitted.

I just downloaded 2.2 today. Stickers? I guess that's better than nothing, at least until the goo smears around, but can we get button caps?

Absolutely!! For the money you spent on an S6, free caps better be in the works.

Jeff
I have filled the form out again . .
But as Postman says, free caps would be far more preferable . Although I guess Avid's problem with that would be people fitting them themselves . ?

They are not button caps but button trees...to change them requires removing the overlay (breaking it) and a lot of disassembly.
We thought that changing the function of those buttons and providing stickers was in the best interest of customers.....you can always put commands that resemble the actual button names and not use the stickers

Haha... but ok. Stickers then. Or do a free exchange for the specific module section that needs stickers. Pro unit. The studio can receive a updated module and then they send back the one that needs stickers. Or are all the new modules using stickers as well? Or will they be printed with the correct function?

Go above and beyond. Think of the bigger picture. Does the s6 flagship warrant stickers? Like it's a random midi bedroom controller? Or is the proper fix of this issue for the flagship s6 a properly printed function buttons?
