S1 or Control Pan Glitch

There is a glitch in either S1, control Software or in PT 2020.5
Brand new Imac i9 40g mem, ssd drive only software loaded is PT 2020.5.
did a clean install

S1 ver 20.5.5.0
Control ver 20.6.0
PT 2020.5

1: on channel 4 encoder on the s1, with a stereo channel assigned, if I press the option key on my keyboard, the left pan moves to center position by itself.
2: on the Oled screen on the S1 I get a bouncing L Pan and 0. bad encoder ?
no other channel or encoder does this.. if I press CMD Z it undoes the move..

glitch , user error or something else..

also, maybe I'm missing it, but it would be great to have some kid of manual for eucontrol settings. I gave no idea what's most of them do.. maybe I'm missing where to find the manuals for the settings.

Any help would be great.

That sounds like you are experiencing a hardware problem with encoder 4. Please contact support to get it swapped out. Here's the process to open a new support case:
