Soft Key for Clip Effects

Afternoon , I’m trying to make a soft key that will open and close PT’s Clip Effects and not having any success. I thought it would have been a Eucon command. I’ve also tried writing it as a key command , but I’m not having much luck. On the latest Eucon and S6 …any help would be appreciated.

I have this as a soft key, but unfortunately not in front of my console right now. Just saying that it must be possible.

OPTION 6 is what you want. It's likely already in the appset, but simply enough to add to the Softkey location that works best for you. There is no current EUCON function for it.

I replied yesterday before reading looking at your .png Jeff. So, half of our S6’s are running in 3022.9 and we have a modified soft key which utilises that shortcut and works as it should. Our other 4 S6’s are currently running 2022.12 and won’t let us write those key commands and in fact won’t let me modify any soft keys that involve key commands , am I missing something? Any help greatly appreciated.

Feel free to PM me if you want to get into the weeds. I'm not clear on what you mean by it won't allow you to modify a KEY function? Any Key SoftKey can be edited by simply touching the block (gold border), then inputting the QWERTY stuff into the Key Command field with optional modifiers added.

Precisely that Jeff, only on the 2022.12 S6’s. It will allow me to add a Eucon command but not a Key command. I can edit a softkey to make clip effects open and close on any of our 2022.9 machines but not on the 2022.12.

I'm going to need more details to understand what you are observing. Can you add Page functions or Surface functions or only EUCON?

Just an FYI, now with 23.6 you can also use SoundFlow to perform any of these types of interactions which aren't explicitly implemented as a EUCON function.

If QWERTY keyboard functions are not working on S6 - I would head to System Preferences > Security > Accessibility > and remove then re-add WSControl and MCClient.
