Default occasional dropouts?

I have a MTRX Studio and an Avid Sync HD (grey face) hooked up to an HDX card in a thunderbolt chassis.

Running latest Pro Tools on 2013 MacPro Trashcan w/ macOS Catalina.

I periodically experience complete audio dropouts during playback. No static or clicks or pops, just several rapid brief mutes in quick succession. I believe it may somehow be the MTRX Studio that's causing it.

Is this a clocking issue? Pro Tools is using the Sync HD as the clock master and *appears* fine, but the issue persists.

Do I need to be feeding my Sync HD some sort of external word clock to clean this up? If so, any simple affordable recommendations?

Greetings,

What version of MTRX Studio firmware are you running?
What version of DADman are you running?
What version of Pro Tools and HD Driver are you using?
Are you using AUX IO?

best,

Jeff

All of that is old. :)

You can check your HD Driver version here:

Apple Menu > System Information

Additionally, please let us know what your Sync tab in DADman looks like so we can validate how the devices are clocking. Lastly, when you see dropouts - are you also observing them via the Con (patchbay) meters in DADman? Thanks.
