What makes this one so special compared to all the others?

How does this compare to Eleven? I do amp sim shootouts a lot and Eleven is the least "digitally" with that digital fizz they all have when heavily distorted.

Yesterday, at high speaker volumes, I realized something else...something HUGE...Eleven "handles" by far the closest to a real amp. I've been testing many world class tube amps recently and now clearly know the sound of every tube type even:) 5881, 84, 88, 77, 66 etc. Eleven is the only one that "moves" like a tube amp...not nearly as good as a real amp of course, but ALL the others are TOTALLY stiff, even if they're not too digitally and decent sounding...they're stiff.

To combat this stiffness, put a spongy compressor, maybe even totally maxed out, in front to your amp sims...that will help make the sound "move."

I have all the Amp sims as well. Being a guitar player for so many years I have been waiting and searching for the right tweakable sim. And of course, closest to the real deal. I have Eleven, Amp Farm, Guitar Rig 3, Chrome Tone, and started with Revalver MK2 which was owned by Alien Connections at the time.

Tried the Amplitube stuff, but I always felt it fell short of most sims.

This particular sim, allows you to change everything within the amp. Tubes, everything! The convolution cabs are pretty spot on.

I would urge you to try the demo, it's very convincing and it's not stiff at all, you get that movement and tons of amps to play with and tweak.

The only thing that really blows about Eleven it's an RTAS B E A S T. It's the worst DSP ravenous RTAS plug ever. TH1 is great at efficiency, has the EFFECTS and the tuner too. How's Revalver at efficiency and does it digital fizz like everything but Eleven? Also, what's the authorization policy? I use three Pro Tools Macs.

As far as efficiency I haven't really been able to put it through it's paces RTAS wise put it seems to be doing really well. No WHERE NEAR how hungry Eleven is. I have it authorized on 2 machines. It's a serial based system.

I paid the upgrade price from MK2 it was $199. I think it is $299 normally.
