Default DAE error -9035?????

I dunno what the deal is guys... I imported a 6minute wav file into PT and ever since i've been getting this DAE error -9035. I've reinstalled my OSX panther and reinstalled 6.22 PT and still thing keeps coming on the screen. I also deleted the session that gave me this problem and i'm still effected by it. If I go to play an old session it just freezes up and closes PT. but if i go to record a file... I get the error. I also realized that the I/O isnt working, I tried running an aux and nothing came into pt. Anybody have any Ideas? i've been using PT for 4 years now and never got this.. please help guys! thanks so much!

this error is related to your hard drive. Try to record to another drive and make sure your hard drive has in your disc allocation window the ability to record.

1. Make sure there are no illegal characters in any of the names of any files used in the session or the session name itself.

2. Same as above, but no files can have names longer than 31 characters.

3. Make sure 'Filevault' is off in your System Preferences>Security panel.

4. Open the session, from the file menu choose 'save session copy in' and make sure to check the option to copy all audio files then save it to another place on the drive (if you're saving to the desktop, try saving to the top level of your main drive or, preferrably, a dedicated audio drive. then close and open the session you just saved - if the problem goes away it could be fragmented files or some kind of file corruption.

5. Make sure all drives have been formatted using the OSX Disk Utility and that those drives are not 'Journaled'.

6. Try trashing the contents of your Digidesign Databases folders and the Volumes folder located at Library>Application Support>Digidesign>Databases. Empty trash, restart.

Hope that helps.

I had the same error last week.

I had to move all my protools song directories off my Audio drive on to another drive and then reformat the Audio drive Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and then everything work great.
