Flymax gave me a great idea. How about making a Plugin Clipboard Window.

A floating window where you can drop plugins (with their preset) right onto tracks. Drag & Drop. It could look alot like the memory window.

oops I thought of another one. It would be great to be able to set the inputs and outputs of grouped tracks globaly. IE all bv tracks to bus 1/2 all drums to 5/6. You get the idea. OK, here's my contribution, besides the mixer snapshots/import mixer idea like someone else mentioned earlier, and I have been wishing for for god knows how long, how about being able to record enable a group in one go rather than clicking every damn track! Also move the pre fade selector away from the back to beginning icon, the amount of times I end up at the start of the session is .... annoying. I heard bomb factory were bringing out a tuner plug in, anyone got a clue on this?? about time!

I forgot to mention one very important feature request.......

Export the session as text......

"not" like it is now with edl/time stamp info, but for music production.

Here's my example of things to export...

1. Track name w/ input & output and notes (underlying playlists also)

2. Hidden tracks(underlying playlists also)

3. plug-in's (optional to list by track info)

4. session notes (get info-info)

5. midi tracks and assoc. info

6. Song name, tempo, key, dates, any other info assoc with song.

7. mabe a small jpeg pict overview of session

8. ok, add your ideas here

p.s.- i love the "soothing female voice saying you mix is good, ok to bounce to disk" idea!

I'd like to see a function, that mekes it easier to print effects to disc. It should work like this: doing a selection - choosing a command. And then PT replaces this selection with the new file. This command should work with several selections over several tracks like a batch processor.

Here's a few current "solutions" to some of the "new feature" requests:

Targon: Aux sends default to OFF...
Under Prefs: Operation: uncheck "sends default to INF"

Andy Sneap: Rec enable all grouped tracks...
In Group window, select (click) to the left of the group name (you have now selected all tracks in that group), then Shift/Opt click "rec" on one track and all are enabled.

MixterRader: changing I/O on all tracks in group...
Same as above for rec enable all tracks in group, except Shift/Opt on input or output of one track in group. You can also assign I/O and Voices sequentally this way by adding the command key and selecting the first "value" (ie, input #1) on the first track, and the rest of the grouped tracks will increment sequentally from the first one ( track 1: input 1, track 2: input 2 etc.).
Hope this helps, and hope I got the key commands right (it's been a long day...)
Lots of great ideas here that hopefully will be addressed SOON!!!

It would be very useful to be able to print to a password protected pdf file the following stats :

SYSTEM stats:
- Hardware stats (cards, interfaces, default setup, clock etc.)
- plugin stats : present on system, versions, serial numbers, type of authorization etc...
- preference file options
- I/O in text mode

SESSION stats:
- hardware and interfaces, number, type and occupation of DSPs, sync peripheral used
- setup window settings
- OMS setup
- complete track listing and optionally, attached playlists
- plug list (and versions) used in the session.
- plug settings
- preference file options

Probably forgot some...

I wouldn't mind paying a little fee for a third party program that would do that.

Very important :
SYSTEM an SESSION stats should be separatly password protected. The first for the system owner's eyes only, the second for the session's owner.
