Pro Control mixer PT upgrade options?

I want to keep my oldie but goodie Pro Control mixer, as my current system listed below has failed and so looking to purchase new PT software and interface that will work with my Pro Control if possible or cost effective.

I am assuming I will no longer use my 888 1/0, or 1622 1/0.

What PT version and interface is last recommended for Pro Control? Other ideas? Forget it all and start over :0 ?

Digidesign 24 Mix plus system using Pro Tools 6.4.1 on Mac G4 has failed cards,
Mix Core and Mix Farm, according to Digitest.

Need to buy the replacement cards or is anyone on earth repairing these nowadays? Will pay top fair price.

You can use the PC up into 10.
It will not work in 11 and beyond

if your 888 is an 888|24 it will work off the Legacy port of Blue interfaces

repair, don't know

PCI HD cards are cheap these days

I purchased and running PT 10 now but Pro control does not show up and the Avid support I emailed said that it doesnt work with 10.. only 10HD?

That is not true. I have both versions of PT10 and Pro Control works regardless of which version is running. The installer is the same for both, it's the iLok asset that determines which version runs. The problem is elsewhere.

The Pro Control only works with Pro Tools HD and will not work with the non HD version of Pro Tools 10. You have the non HD version so the Pro Control will not function with your version of Pro Tools.

The personality file installs with Pro Tools 10 and Pro Tools HD 10 can see and use the controller, but it is not qualified. I believe that fact that it works with the HD version of Pro Tools is what is causing this confusion.

Again it will not work with your standard version of Pro Tools.

Let me know if you have an additional question.

In most cases we respond to online support inquiries within one business day. If we don't hear from you within five days our support system will check in with you automatically and let you know that it will close the case . If this does occur, the case is closed automatically, and the issue is not resolved you have 25 days to respond and reopen the case.

I don't know why tech support is telling you it will not work because that is not true.
I am sitting at my Pro Control right now running PT10.3.6 (non HD) on an RME UFX and the PC is working as expected.
Also Pro Control doesn't care if you are running an Mbox micro or an HDX rig, the interface has nothing to do with the controller.

If I remember right, it does require some drivers to make it work.

It's one installer and the personality files are installed. The iLok asset is what determines HD or not.
Pro Control works with PT10 (non HD) on both Mac and Windows.
I have done this on both platforms. If you use an iLok with PT 10 HD the Pro Control works, if you use an iLok with PT10 (non HD) the Pro Control works. That's it.
