You can't buy a 17" but you can definitely by a matte screen option for standard MBP, just not on the Retina models.
I'd buy one now if you want a matte screen option. I'm not sure regular MBP's will be around for much longer.

I'm likely to hang on to this 17" baby as long as it lives. If PT11 works well on it that's a bonus, if, not ... well it currently handles full band live recordings and overdub sessions very well using PT10, so I can always use that version.

It seems my 8 core 2008 MacPro is out as well. I have a qualified PC I could use, but I'm going to take my chances. I'm pretty sure it's going to be fine.
