Default Maximize Edit Window, but NOT Mix

Hello,

Probably a simple fix, but I can't figure it out. I want to keep the Edit Window maximized, without maximizing the Mix window. How do I unlink them? Anytime I max the Edit window then show Mix, Mix is maximized.

Mbox, PTLE 6.1, XP Pro

Thanks,

Beamus

Beamus there may be a better way, but I just drag them around until I get what I'm looking for

So... once you move the windows around, can you maximize it to lock in? Like in Macromedia Dreamweaver, you can have floating windows, or customize them and lock them down. Is that possible with PT5.3 or 6.1?

I don't think you can, man. It's standard in windows programs that when one window is maximized, all of them are. The only program that I know that doesn't do that is Photoshop. And it keeps states for it's 'f' key function

You may try using strips, you can make those stay, I believe.

But also, keeping the mix window isn't really a bad thing, especially if you have a mouse button that's programmed to ctrl+=
