Default compatibility list confusing

I read the compatibility list over and over again, But it's still unclear to me if MDD dual 1.25 with HD1 is supported under Panther.
Any help welcome

The way I read it, no. 6.2.2 is for Panther and G5 machines. Right now, 10.2.6 and 10.2.8 are for G4s, along with PT 6.2. Supposedly, 6.2.2 has some track count issues and you're better off with 10.2 and 6.2.

FWIW, I'm running 10.2.8 and PT 6.2 on a G4 MDD and it's working just fine.

Haven't installed it yet, but Accel now ships with a 6.2.2 installation disk. I'll have to check to see if 6.2 is also on it.

It sure would be nice if this stuff was ready for prime time before upgrade program cut offs.

The information on this is somewhat confusing - lots of tidbits scattered over many pages.

Accel ships w/ 6.2 and 6.2.2 which states it's for 10.3 and G5.

But not to get too off topic. Compatibility docs need to be revised.

Magma 2-Slot CB2S (SCSI model, discontinued. SCSI card should be removed for use on OS X)
Limited Cardbus support for Pro Tools 6.2. No SCSI support, Firewire drives only, using the below configuration:
48kHz 4DSP 128 voice Playback engine: for a maximum of 96 tracks/voices
48kHz 2DSP 96 voice Playback engine: for a maximum of 64 tracks/voices
96kHz 4DSP 64 voice Playback engine: for a maximum of 48 tracks/voices
96kHz 2DSP 48 voice Playback engine: for a maximum of 32 tracks/voices
There is no mention of required host speed. I'm on 1st issue G4Ti (400) (so much for being first on the block w/ a remote PT TDM rig) Before I upgraded to HD2 I called tech sup and asked about it. They didn't know, didn't know what to tell me, but said there was no reason it shouldn't work. Anyway, to make a long story short. with Accel card in CB4 PT wont see hardware. With out it Just HD core all is fine.
I can't use my G4 tower either. (1st issue G4/400/pci graphics. So much for being 1st on the block w/ a G4)
So if I want to use a 5k card sitting on my desk I need to get a new host.
When will the madness end?

Just checked my Accel box. There is also a 6.2 disk in addition to the 6.2.2 disk (it was hiding under the Windows XP disk).
