midi chords don't record

pro tools 12....win 10 64...asus quad core...16gig..nvidia 750...

When I record a keyboard part (piano, organ )...it all goes well until the last chord,,,for some reason the last chord won't record..I hold down the keys and it shows the recording process is happening,,I'll hold it down long after the end...nothing. The whole tune records fine until the last chord...frustrating...using an Emu controller; but it did the same thing with a different keyboard...usually use xpand...any ideas would be appreciated.

Try letting go before recording ends. When you do what you do PT won't know the length of note(s) that are playing.
