Default Pro Tools can't recognize 192 I/O

I have clear install of Mac OS 10.6.4 and Pro Tools 8.1 but when Pro Tools is launching then in the end I have on screen message:
"Unable to find an Audio interface attached to the first HD card . . ."
I have attached my 192 I/O to the first HD core card and when I run digi test it's there. When I power up 192 then 48Khz and internal LED's are flashing and lightning. After Pro Tools launch, it switch to 44.1KHz LED and I have this error message.
What is my problem? What am I ding wrong? Thanks for advices.
Mac Pro is early 2009 "Nehalem" Quad core 2.66GHz. The rest is in my signature.

Hi,

The things i would try are...

Run the snow leopard 10.6.4 combo updater. and i would down load the pro tools installer again for 8.1 and do a clean install of PT using the new download.

uninstall pro tools completely and trash all pt prefs, reboot the mac and run the combo updater, after reboot install pro tools again with new download.

This will refresh/replace all important files needed.

Use this app to remove all PT prefs..

This was my second install and I have fresh downloads of full Pro Tools HD 8.0.3 and 8.1 update. I did what you've suggested but the result is the same. Anyway, thank you for your effort. Do you have any other solution in mind?

OK. The problem was my wrong connected flex cable. It have to be connected from port b on core card to port a on accel card. I have HD 2. I had it in opposite way and it doesn't work. I found solution in this thread:

Thanks for help.

Hi,

Yes can be confusing port B from core card to port A on first accel card!

Glad you're sorted!! my next suggestion was to try without the accel cards, just the core card which might have lead you to this cause.
