ok digi when or can you tell me if my macbook 2.0 ghz is compatible with m-powered 7.4 (MB061LL/A)
and my powermac quad g5 2.5ghz is compatible with hd 7.4 (M9592LL/A)
and my powerbook g4 1.5 (M9422LL/A) and my powermac g4 dual (M8573LL/A) with LE 7.4

The following Apple Power Mac G5 PCI Express desktop computers are compatible, but have not been fully qualified with Pro Tools|HD and HD Accel systems with Pro Tools HD 7.4. These G5 models may be able to provide full track count performance, however, they cannot be guaranteed to do so. Your performance and track count may vary depending on the processor count and speed.


how can you say this its like use under your own risk!!!!!


i need to now that my top of the line quad g5 will give me full track count perfomance on hd accel 2 pcie

ok digi you must have this info cause you have allready tested these macs (g5) so i only need to know if the top of the line quad is going to give me full trak count...

easy question, simple answer.

We cannot answer 'yes' or 'no' at this point, as the particular models mentioned above have not been through an entire test grid. Due to time constraints, we were unable to fully qualify the specified machines, which is why we posted information to that effect.

While we do not foresee any decrease in track counts from the limited testing we did, we cannot be absolutely sure that further testing wouldn't reveal possible issues.

will they ever be fully tested and fully aproved?


(do i have to sell my current computer and buy one that is aproved or should i hang on a bit and wait for them to be fully tested...)

please advice
