Re: compatibility list on any system not available
The following Apple Power Mac G5 PCI Express desktop computers are compatible, but have not been fully qualified with Pro Tools|HD and HD Accel systems with Pro Tools HD 7.4. These G5 models may be able to provide full track count performance, however, they cannot be guaranteed to do so. Your performance and track count may vary depending on the processor count and speed.
how can you say this its like use under your own risk!!!!! i need to now that my top of the line quad g5 will give me full track count perfomance on hd accel 2 pcie -quote-(they cannot be guaranteed to do so....) come on digi please |

Re: compatibility list on any system not available
We cannot answer 'yes' or 'no' at this point, as the particular models mentioned above have not been through an entire test grid. Due to time constraints, we were unable to fully qualify the specified machines, which is why we posted information to that effect.
While we do not foresee any decrease in track counts from the limited testing we did, we cannot be absolutely sure that further testing wouldn't reveal possible issues. |
