Default PAZ almost brings computer to a halt

G4 quad, PT 7.1, HD3, OSX 10.4.3, Waves4. When bringing 2 PAZ-analyzer plugins on 2 stereo tracks to the front the session becomes jerky and responds to keystrokes and mouseclicks with a delay of 5-10 seconds. Worse on TDM than on RTAS. Even when the session is stopped bringing one window to the front or moving the plugin windows goes with a delay and jerkiness. Anyone noticed this?

You're using an incompatible version of Waves with the Pro Tools version you're running (Waves 4 only supported to 6.2.2), as well as the OSX version you're running (Waves 4 only supported to 10.2.8). That probably has a lot (if not everything) to do with it. You need to be running Waves Version 5.0 for Pro Tools 7.

In spite of the misinformation propagated by Waves, Waves v4 is definitely compatible with PT7. I'm using it now in my HD2 system. The trick is to use WaveShell-DAE 4.4_X instead of the one they tell you to use.
