801 not loading
I'm running PT8, cs3 on a Power PC (G5) 10.5.8 3 gig of ram and for some unkown reason 8.0.1 will not start after a sucessfully downloading the update. I get a PT quit unexpectly. I tried several times to relaunch but no joy in Mudville tonight. When I re-install PT 8 and update to cs3 everything loads and works great. I did a "Verify Disk Permissions" and "Repair Disk Permissions" followed by deleting PT preferences helper.

Re: 801 not loading
Have you tried all the suggestions in the General Troubleshooting thread yet?
I would start by verifying that all installed plug-ins are compatible - you can view the compatibility grid here: http://digidesign.com/index.cfm?lang...n=news_details Keep in mind that, even if plug-ins worked with cs3, if they're incompatible with Pro Tools 8 they are likely to exhibit problems in 8.0.1. |
