Default Acid Loops and Rex Files

I just get the 7.3.1 for my HD3 accel and I will make another try to move from my buggy Logic TDM to PT for music.

I have a huge collection of Acidized and rex files, that are fully recognized with soundtrack, garageband or Live on my mac.

My digibase recognizes the rex files only but no tempo info concerning my acid files, even on collections I bought recently. Am I missing something with acid format ?

Adding a rex file to an audiotrack, the loop matchs exactly the tempo, but if I make a tempo change, the rex files does not follow this change. I really can't see the interest of using REX. I hope I really miss something...

Thanks for help.

Sorry I was not in tick mode for Rex, I was missing this point for tempo changes. But for acid files, no solutions for the moment.

search for: "ACIDIZED files in PT7"

it's not pretty...

you may want to keep using Soundtrack Pro...

PT does an OK job with some REX2 files, IF the creator put enough data in them.

The bottom line: don't give up your workflow just yet.

Thanks Jeremy for your input.

I'm going to rewire Live for this kind of use !!

But 7.3 is definitely a good update for making music on protools. New zoom tools, windows configurations make me believe I can do my job with it.(perhaps I'll be back in logic in one week !!) I'm waiting for Structure now !
