Same as syspilot ..... but our sys/prefs work fine as well as sys/profiler works fine too.

We just got a brand new unopened version of HD2Accel PCIe and MacPro.

Installed Core in slot 2 Process in slot3 no card in 4
Core ribbon connector thingy from B to A on Process
Added a new additional harddrive and ran a fresh install of 10.4.7 wih no "extras" onto this disk.
Installed pace iLok drivers
Reboot
Installed pthd721_30980.dmg
Reboot
Repaired permissions.
Reboot

Run Protools and we got the same errors as syspilot >> DAE error -4 followed by general error -9003 .
Reboot
Repaired permissions.
Shutdown

Removed HD Accel process card.

Hello,
Digi, will there be support for the Magma 6 Slot PCI Express to PCI-X Expansion chassis with the Mac Pro? I just bought a new MacPro dual core 2.66 computer installed PT 7.2.1 and connected my Magma chassis and nothing. I know this is unsupported at the moment but I was hoping it would work but it doesn't. Protools crashes at the initalizing hardware portion of the startup. Will there be support for the Magma stuff?

Thanks,
aar

Hi there!
Does 7.2.1 run os OS 10.4.8?
Because we updated the firmware on the Mac Pro and now OS 10.4.7 is a drag!
Apple says, that you can't downgrade the firmware...
Can we install 10.4.8? Please say yes...

Have you got any further with this? I'd be very interested in using this configuration.

Thanks,
Pete

Why don't you just buy the Digidesign HD|Expansion and get guaranteed support and functionality ?

Hi,
Because I've already got a Magma chassis on my G5 and I was interested in the new PCIe->PCI-X bridge card they do, which is essentially what these new chassis have inside. I may end up having to buy the Expansion HD, I'm aware of that.

Thanks,
Pete
