Thanks for all this Luke - Just popping in with a quick feature request if I might!

I'd love to be able to customize the dim/cut/ref function of the SD+ rotary knob. For instance, I'd like a push-in to go to reference, as opposed to cut. Maybe a small thing, but would be awesome. (Would also be great to assign a knob to a mic input - although I've got this working via midi right now).

If there's already a way to do this and I'm just blind, my apologies!

Thanks again for creating this insanely useful integration.

Feature request noted :)

You’re correct that SD+ knob actions can’t be customized. You can do this with a Surface Dial though should you feel like adding one to your setup. There’s no fundamental reason why the SD+ support can’t, just haven’t had time to implement.

Noticed last night that the dial only goes to -40 and then just to <-40. Is that a limitation of the information coming back from DADman?

Your intuition is correct. :)

Hi! Thank you so much for this. I have been struggling without the availability of the DadMOM. Been waiting for the last year and just got a stream deck and found your plugin.

I am having issues, though. I can get the functionality to work on the stream deckXL that I have, DadMan seems to crash every time. Am I missing something?

Try disabling WiFi. This is something I need to look into, I have an idea how to fix it.

Hi Luke -

What a cool thing. I use my SD+ with soundflow - which possibly blocks the stream deck software from handling the deck?

(Im only partly dumb about this stuff)

I have MOMs in both my rooms, but I’m really into adding more automation etc and especially having more than 3 source/output buttons.

Is there a way to have it all at the same time??

Cheers
JW

Soundflow is terrible at aggressively commandeering all devices. It tries to take over all of them (away from StreamDeck's software.) But it IS possible to have both running on the same system. You have to tell Soundflow not to use the streamdeck device you want to use with elgato's software and then that device can be available to the StreamDeck software.

Alternatively, you can use Soundflow's plugin version (that loads through StreamDeck software) and then use the same device for both. Soundflow has instructions on how to do this (you have to first turn off Soundflow's auto take over stuff.)

Better would be for Soundflow not to be so bad but I don't think their developers are going to correct their overstepping of control. I have less kind words about them that would get me banned from these forums because any other company would know better than to do stupid things like this. (Can you imagine installing an app and then it just auto takes over your monitor -- all of them -- instead of making it a preference?)

Soundflow also has a MOM emulator now, so you could use that, although I believe it's subscription-only.

There’s no subscription specifically for the MOMDeck plugin, but you do need a subscription to soundflow, and then you have to pay $70 for the MOMDeck software… Curious how they get away with that without pissing off DAD.
