Default suggestions on a good client tv?

Setting up a playback room. I need a tv that's 60" or bigger, good color space, supports every frame rate, not too expencive (sub 1000) and silent. What are you all using?

Are you going to ever use 4k resolution?

The last time I had to buy a client monitor that met most of these specs, I was looking at LG and Samsung.

Beware of both the Ides of March and 4k monitors if you want good color space. Reputable sources (names withheld to protect the guilty) have said that 4k monitors only have Rec.709 (HD) performance, not Rec.2020 (4k) performance. In other words, when you buy a 4k monitor, you are buying an HD monitor with 4k pixels unless you buy a professional 4k monitor ($1,000 per inch).

No 4k. I convert everything I get to 720p pro res. i would like to be able to plug in an srw-5500 when needed. No one is going to be looking at the monitor for color but sometimes the Ep's only color watch down is in the audio playback so the TV can't have issues like really blue(happened to me in another studio) or cuts bleed over onto the next shot if these are drastically different (dark shot to light shot) ect. Solid workhouse monitor that isn't really expensive.

I have purchased a few of the panasonic hospitality/broadcast monitors for this purpose in the past.

I would get them with the HDSDI cards so I could take a mult off of my Decklink card.

I do a lot of animation so directors are all about the colour and also some of the producers who fly over only see final picture in final mix. Panasonic plasmas or the new Samsung higher end models have all hit the seal of approval (can't remember exact model numbers right now though, one of the Samsungs was a U5550 I think..). You can shop smart as both companies seem to offer the same quality screens on 2 models but add in their smart tv features on one which would be (I'm guessing) not needed by you

Get a Vizio, and be done with it!!

I drive 2 Vizios from a Media Composer Satellite, whatever the approved video card is, out DVI/HDMI adapter during mix review.

Producers always saying how good the color looks, helps the mix sound better too!!!
