Default Reverting back to 9.0.3

I'm not reading good things about 9.0.6 and the documented "solved issues" don't seem to relate to my woes. I'm currently running 9.0.5 and want to revert back to 9.0.3 Can someone tell me the correct way to do this? I've only ever gone forward with any software and would like to do it once only without any stuff-ups if possible. I've got my Acronis image done, have my 9.0.3 installer on hand so am prepped. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

you will need to uninstall 9.0.5 and install 9.0.2 of just 9, then update to 9.0.3. You will most likely be happier

Restoring from a drive image is the ideal way(assuming you save a drive image BEFORE installing any new update)

Great advice Albee. Unfortunately I only used 9.0.3 once before 9.0.5 came out. In my haste didn't follow this golden rule before updating. Acronis True Image is great and I certainly won't be taking any shortcuts in the future. That said though, it was quite easy reverting back and now I'm on track again. I'm already noticing improvements. For one, my digi console doesn't lag any more when I bank. Cheers guys

BTW, recently won a national Ausralian award for "Instumental of the Year" knocking off some big names in the Oz country music industry. At least 2 of my competitors had stuff produced in serious Nashville studios. Just goes to show that Pro Tools can rise to the occasion even in a small project studio setting. It would be great if Avid went that extra mile and fixed some of the real issues that appear here in the DUC.

Using Midi in PT 9.06 is even more sluggish than PT 9.05. Dont bother to udpate if you use midi a lot. I have a session with 50 midi tracks, and when I click to show a track in the midi editor it takes like 30 seconds to appear, and soemtimes it just crashes. Totally unstable and useless when it comes to midi.

Several users have already pointed out this issue when PT9.05 was released, and Avdi DTS promised a quick fix in PT9.06. But this has not materialized yet.

So, stick to PT 9.03 for the time being and don't waste your time with this update.
