What is this distortion?
Last night i opened a session (call it session 1) i'd been working on and there was hideous distortion everywhere, any track, with or without plugs.
Opened up a different session. Same problem I trashed prefs, same problem. Turned interfaces on and off. Same problem Opened up a simpler session and it worked fine, no problem. Went back to session 1, it worked fine. Today, I had cause to trash prefs again. Opened up session 1 and the hideous distortion was back. ANy ideas what's going on here? Re: What is this distortion?
The only time I've ever had this problem was when my hardware buffer size was set too low. Try increasing it to 512 or even better to 1024.

Re: What is this distortion?
Try reseating the flex connectors on the cards.
I would also call Digi, you may need new PCI-E cards with a chip update to fix a bus speed problem on Mac Pros. . .
