motif es issue connecting to protools

Hi, I'm new to protools and midi, I've followed all the steps I could neccessary to connect my motif es midi through my mbox2. It just does not want to work, does anyone know what the problem can be. I was told that the motif es does not sync with protools. Someone let me know what the real deal is if that is not the case.

I don't own a Motif ES, but lets see if we can't get you running.

Ummm... we are talking about the keyboard ES and not the rack ES, right?

Could you post in as much detail as possible just how you have gone about connecting and routing the ES to PT, please.

I have mbox2 usb going into my intel core duo imac 1.83 ghz 512mb ram 300gb firewire hard drive. Motif es 88 keyboard going in and out of the mbox2 via midi. I connected everything in the audio midi setup. Only the original motif was in the list but I just left that part blank when they ask in amsetup about the keyboard name. If you need any more info let me know.

...and in AMSetup when you audition the ES do you hear the audio? And if you DI the ES are you able to record and playback the audio?

Hmmm... are you running the correct PT version for Intel-based Macs?

yes pt 7.3. I'm really new to midi and I think I'm just missing a simple step or something. I just did a test in amsetup. When I press the keys on the board it makes a noise, but not the sounds from the board. Is that correct?

Wouldn't have a clue, I'm not a Mac user. Have you followed the Audio MIDI Setup instructions in your Mbox 2 Getting Started Guide?
