Open/Close Folder Key Command
Is there a key command?
My track view sizes are usually micro because I have so many channels, and it would be a lot faster to hold a key on the keyboard and click the channel to open it than to right-click and choose open (even the down arrow is two clicks, and that sometimes doesn't show up for some reason anyway). Is there anything like this?

Re: Open/Close Folder Key Command
Shift-F
But be aware that option-shift-F doesn't work for multiple folders as that key command is already reserved a different action (can't remember which).

Re: Open/Close Folder Key Command
Great! But how does it work? I tried selecting the folder first and it opens and closes a different folder instead.

Re: Open/Close Folder Key Command
Do you have Link Edit and Track Selection enabled? I just checked, and weirdly, in the Edit window the Shift-F shortcut seems tied to where the cursor is, not which track is highlighted. In the Mix window it is tied to track highlighting, as there is no edit selection. This seems like a bug or oversight to me, but I had never noticed it, since I always have Link Track and Edit Selection turned on.

Re: Open/Close Folder Key Command
Is there a Close All Folders command?
Also, is there a way to save which folders are open and closed to get back to that layout quickly? I tried a Group and a Window Configuration, and neither did that.

Re: Open/Close Folder Key Command
There isn't a shortcut for Open/close all folder, as far as I know. I also really with there was one.
As far as saving open/close status, I'm surprised that Window Configs doesn't do that; that seems like an oversight that might hopefully get fixed eventually. I wonder if Marker Show/Hide might work? (probably not, lol). One option might be layouts on a EuCon control surface or Avid Control app on tablet. There are some preferences to manage folder open/close behavior and whether closed folder members populate the surface in layouts and spills, so you might find a combination that offers the workflow you're looking for.

Re: Open/Close Folder Key Command
I found it! Hold Option while clicking the folder icon to open or close all folders at once.

Re: Open/Close Folder Key Command
Ah. Sorry, I thought you were looking for a keyboard-only shortcut.
Glad you got it sorted.

Re: Open/Close Folder Key Command
Yes. Folder State open/closed seems to be saved with the memory locations track visibility.
