-"GRM tools" are great for special effects.
-"Pitch and Time" like was said before would be perfect for you. -"Waves L1". |

On the Waves C1 compressor, there is a preset called "broadcast V/O" which works great for voice.

Re: Suggested Plug ins for Promos for Radio and TV
I've been doing radio drops for about 2 years now with a digi001 setup, and pretty much only use the waves plug-ins, for EQ and Limiting. I use the Bombfactory LA2A for most of my compression, but occasionally the waves C1. I have used GRM tools occassionally for some crazy reverse-delays and other weird effects for tag lines, but in general, the secret to for good promo drops is a good sample selection. SFX CD's from Ear Candy, Hollywood edge, and as many loop CD's you can find are essential in making good sounding drops. I've done thousands of 30-60 sec. drops over the past year or so that play nationally and internationally on everything from terrestrial radio to airline in-flight shows to internet radio. Another good thing to be aware of, is that most advertisement dupe houses (and other broadcast mediums) want the drops delivered at -6db, not 0db.
Hope that helps, Slim |

My most used plugs for B/Cast post are:
Pitch n' time 2.0, McDSP compression and eq, Waves eq, De-essing and L1, Digirack De-esser, Bombfactory compression.

Re: Suggested Plug ins for Promos for Radio and TV
Waves Gold pkg definitely. The L1 rocks.
Ren comp & eq Mondo-mod and Meta-flanger for some killer fx. True-verb is pretty cool. Depends how deep you want to go, creatively & financially - not too mention your client base.
